Advice Sessions at GPs’ surgeries
Many people who seek medical advice because of problems such as debt, low income, housing problems, which affect their physical and mental health. ALP is working with two GPs’ surgeries – the Al-Waqas Surgery in Highfields and the Saffron Group Practice – to provide advice on welfare benefits, debt and housing issues to patients attending the surgery. Some patients are referred to the advice sessions by medical staff but it is also possible to drop in to see the adviser without an appointment.
Advice Leicester is offering advice surgeries in two GP practices in Leicester. Rehaan Adam from Mosaic will be at the Al Waqas Surgery on a Tuesday morning and at the Saffron Group Practice on a Wednesday afternoon. Patients from either GP practice can book appointments to see Rehaan by calling the reception number as shown on the posters below.
